We have a whistle stop visit to the amazing Meenakshi temple in Madurai. The goddess Meenakshi is revered for her fecundity and devotees make offerings in the hope that she will bring them offspring. Unfortunately, we are booked on a passenger train with hard wooden berths for the night so we will not be reaping any benefits from our temple visit just yet.
