As well as having a hotel with clean sheets & hot running water (bliss) Pondy also has a beach & lovely centre with French colonial architecture & lots of temples. It's also famous for its Ashram which we're going to visit this afternoon & Auroville, a non-religious commune & 'experiment in International living' that we're visiting tomorrow. May never come back (joke Mum).
