It's really interesting to watch how the villagers use the river for everything in their lives: food, work, transport, washing etc. As the local school empties out we watch the children taking the Keralan equivalent of the school bus home & some women washing their pots & hair.Despite the rain there is a beautiful sunset & the cook keeps us stuffed full of delicious veggie food. In the morning the sun is out & Paul decides to take charge of the boat while the crew bathe in the river.
