Tongariro Crossing

The Tongariro crossing is reportedly NZ's best one day walk, a 17 km tramp across the craters created by volcanic activity. Here you see Mt Ngauruhoe (Pronounced Narahoe I think), the view down to the Mangatepopo valley, with Mt Tarankai in the distance and a view across the South crater from the side of Ngauruhoe).
