Something has happened to our camera. I think it's got some kind of virus the result of which is that we can't put any pictures on the blog at the moment. A shame because we've been going to some great places in San Francisco & taken some great pictures. We've been pottering around Chinatown watching people play Mah-jong in the street, visiting the Transamerica pyramid, browsing the shelves at the City Lights bookstore & hanging out with the ghosts of the beat poets at Vesuvio's cafe. We've eaten in Francis Ford Coppola's restaurant in North Beach's Little Italy, walked up & down a lot of very steep streets, seen Alcatraz & the Golden Gate bridge from across the Bay and wandered down the street that was the inspiration for Barbary Lane in Armistead Maupin's 'Tales of the City' books. On Sunday we spent the day in Golden Gate park enjoying the botanical garden & the butterfly house. Today we went to Berkeley, strolled around the university campus, wandered the rose garden, picked some blackberries & ate a fantastic lunch in Chez Panisse.
I'm not sure when or if the camera will be fixed. Fingers crossed.
