Well it's been a bit tricky getting online here. Sorry about the long gap with no blogging. It seems that everyone here has laptops. All the cafes & motels are geared up for wi-fi but no-one has a good old fashioned internet cafe anymore. Still trying to sort out our camera issues too.
Since we left San Francisco we've been pretty busy. We met our friends Kate & Matt in Carmel. They very kindly let us intrude on their honeymoon for a night & we had a lovely dinner together & drank some very nice champagne. We spent a day driving along the Big Sur's spectacular coastline and (my favourite) a day at the beach & funfair at Santa Cruz. We followed this up with a full day of wine tasting in the Sonama valley & for the past few days we've been driving North up the coast stopping for hikes in the Redwood Forest. Last night we crossed the border into Oregon & we're doing some more walking today before driving up to Portland to meet up with Terri & Dan tomorrow.
