We only get to spend a couple of days in Brisbane but are pleasantly surprised. Lots of people we'd met had told us that it was quite dull & unattractive & there wasn't too much to do here but we had a great time. We stayed in a fantastic hostel in the West End with great friendly staff & good facilities (believe me , this doesn't happen that often). The West End was a really interesting area with lots of live music & great cafes & bars. We only wished we'd arranged to stay longer.
