About 200 dingoes live on Fraser Island and our guide, Captain Kangaroo (well, that's what he answered to) spent a lot of time educating us about how to behave should we be confronted with one. Sadly we didn't spot a single dingo. Unusual as they've become a real pest on the island due to being fed by tourists. We did see this beautiful lizard though. It was about 75 cm long but so well camouflaged that most people in our group just walked straight past it.
