From the Marlborough region we drive to Nelson where we stay at the 'Accents on the Park' hostel recommended to us by some Aussies we met in Renwick. It's a lovely hostel on Trafalgar Square overlooking the imposing Art Deco cathedral & its gardens. The local birds are obviously used to picking up scraps from messy backpackers and join us for our lunch on the benches outside.
