After lunch on the boat we stop at a good snorkeling spot & get in the water. There are literally hundreds of fish here including bat fish & a giant, metre long Maori wrasse which swims up to us only inches from our snorkel masks. It's a bit intimidating at first swimming with such enormous fish but they don't seem to be too concerned about our presence. Paul even strokes the Maori wrasse which it seems to quite enjoy. We have to be extremely careful not to touch the coral as we are really close to it here. It's just beautiful. Even by just looking over the edge of the boat you can get some sense of the massive variety of sea life in the water.
