Up on the mountain you can buy bags of boiled eggs that have been cooked in the sulphurous waters of the natural springs. This turns the egg shells black & legend has it that if you eat these eggs they'll make you live longer. At the nearby gift shop you can but all kinds of 'black egg' souvenirs including Hello Kitty charms peeping out from black eggs. That's me peeping out from 5 layers of clothing.
