Snorkeling & Getting Wet

Here is one of the lagoons that we visited today & some pictures of Paul snorkeling. The boat trip back to land was a bit hair raising. I think a storm was brewing & Paul & I had drawn the short straw & got the seats right at the back of the boat. The waves started to get really choppy & what started out as a gentle splashing gradually turned into something a bit like having buckets of water perpetually thrown over your head. We quickly became as wet as it is possible to be & just concentrated on trying to breathe between the soakings. Paul even put his snorkel on for a bit. The guys on the boat wouldn't let us move for fear that the change in balance would turn over the boat so we just had to put up with it. When the soakings subsided a nice woman gave us her towel to stop our shivering. We were very grateful.

Oh well, it was worth it for the amazing trip & we're back safely on dry land now & have had a hot shower. Feel like some horlicks & an early night.

Tomorrow we get the bus straight to Singapore where we stay for two nights and then it's off to Japan! I'm very very excited about that!

Hi Paul & Kerry,
Have only just been able to view blog as have been off broadband for spiritual and financial reasons. Normal service now resumed.
Am extremely jelous of your trip, looks amazing although you have just missed an enthralling 0-0 draw for the toon against Stoke away in the cup.
I notice that Paul now seems to be impersonating Gattuso with the bumfluff facial look, and Mr Walsh with the increasing girth size. One presumes the food is good and Paul hasn't lost his blistering pace on the beach football.
The temples, beaches, beautiful people and historical stuff looks all good and well but you can't beat the sights of Preston and surronding area at this time of year. And I heard that the pies are nothing special in Asia, unlike at Turf Moor.
I also managed to be 2nd row centre to swoon at Rufus recently. He was within throwing distance for my pants.
Enjoy Singapore and that. Will be thinking of you whilst training for the marathon in the wind and rain.
