The people of Obuse are really proud of their town's connection with Hokusai and there is a great museum dedicated to his work here with wood block prints, sketches & paintings. Also displayed are the wooden floats for which Hokusai painted the ceilings. These show male and female waves, a dragon and a phoenix and are supposed to be his masterpieces. Sorry the photos are so rubbish.
