Hidden in the jungle surrounding Palenque is this beautiful waterfall & natural bathing pond. It's rumoured to be where the Queen used to bathe. As we approach it we see that it's roped off and there are several large signs indicating that no bathing is permitted. This doesn't stop several people from stripping down to their bikinis or smalls & diving in. Though who can blame them? We're all dripping with sweat after a day's sightseeing in the blazing heat & this spot is just idyllic. Paul & I have to look on in envy, wishing we'd brought our swimming togs & hang on for a cold shower back at the hotel to cool us down.
